Every full service groom includes:
- A three step premium shampoo and remoisturizing conditioner combination that is tailored to meet your pets needs (We NEVER charge extra for different shampoos or conditioners!)
- Facial scrub
- Nail clipping and/or nail grinding with a dremel tool
- Ear detailing and cleaning (shaving and trimming of canal area to remove excess hair) (NOT "plucking")
- External anal gland expression
- Hand-blow dry without the use of dangerous kennel dryers
- The haircut style that is discussed with your groomer at check-in AND/OR a proper de-shed/brush-out.
Our groomers have years of professional experience and have encountered nearly every situation imaginable. With us, you don't have to wonder about how your pet is doing - we take care of EVERY pet as if they were our own. We don't just say that, we truly mean it. We groom for the comfort of your pet.
Our salon works as a team and does not make use of additional restraints beyond the standard non-tightening grooming loop. There is a device called the Groomer's Helper that attaches a loop around the dog's neck and then a second loop attaches the dog to the table arm by the throat. Dogs have had serious injuries and death occur when the system is used improperly. Our policy is absolutely NO Groomer's Helpers, belly bands or additional restraints. When a dog needs help standing or being comforted during the service, our staff assists each other with holds designed to support the pet.
Bath & Brush
Nail clipping and filing, external anal gland expression (if desired), facial scrub, ear cleaning, remoisturizing bath with premium shampoos and conditioners tailored to fit your pet’s needs, hand blow-dry / blow-out, de-shed based on dog’s coat, and spot-shaving or light de-matting. Available upon request pad shaving, feet trimming and sanitary clip.
Face/Feet/Sani (Partial Groom)
Nail clipping and filing, external anal gland expression (if desired), facial scrub, ear cleaning, remoisturizing bath with premium shampoos and conditioners tailored to fit your pet’s needs, hand blow-dry / blow-out, brush and complete comb-out, spot removing mats as needed, pad fur removal, feet trimming, sanitary clip, face trim. (price varies based also on amount of trimming done on head)
Feather Trim
Nail clipping and filing, external anal gland expression (if desired), facial scrub, ear cleaning, remoisturizing bath with premium shampoos and conditioners tailored to fit your pet’s needs, hand blow-dry / blow-out, de-shed based on dog’s coat, and spot-shaving or light de-matting. Feather Trim haircut done with scissors and is based on pet’s coat condition at time of groom. Sanitary clip, feet trim with pad fur removal, hind quarter feather trimming, belly and front leg feathers trimmed, and chest or ears depending on owner preference and coat condition.
Full Service Groom
Nail clipping and filing, external anal gland expression (if desired), facial scrub, ear cleaning, remoisturizing bath with premium shampoos and conditioners tailored to fit your pet’s needs, hand blow-dry / blow-out, brush and complete comb-out, spot removing mats as needed, full all-over body haircut OR hand-scissor cut depending on breed and coat condition. We always include pad fur removal, feet trimming, sanitary clip with every full service and the rest is dependent upon coat condition, pet’s behavior, and parent’s desired haircut style.
Puppy Orientation
Nail clipping and filing, external anal gland expression dependent upon age (if desired), facial scrub, ear cleaning, remoisturizing bath with gentle shampoos and conditioners tailored to fit your puppy’s’ needs, hand blow-dry / blow-out, brush and complete comb-out, spot removing mats as needed. The amount of trimming depends on puppy’s breed and behavior throughout groom but typically include pad fur removal, feet trimming, sanitary clip, and face trim. Some puppies only need a bath and brush-out and may not require any hair trimming. Some puppies may also be more scared or reactive and need a bath and brush-out to make them more comfortable with the process. Puppies generally need anywhere from 1 to 3 puppy services before they are able to tolerate a full service groom.
Prices all vary depending on pet’s breed, size and weight, coat condition, behavior throughout groom, and style of groom. We only give quotes over the phone so please call for more information. Be prepared to give us your dog’s breed or what breed they most closely resemble, their age, their weight, if they are spayed or neutered, and if they’ve ever been professionally groomed in any grooming salon.
Non-Dematting Policy
We have a strict no-dematting policy. At our groomer’s discretion we can potentially save certain areas of coats that are not too close to the skin or painful for the dog. Our 3-step conditioning bath process works great at helping tight coats and packed in undercoat loosen. If it is deemed that your dog is too matted, we will let you know that a full shave-down is necessary. We do not shave dogs down for ANY reason other than the coat’s condition at check-in. We are always happy to show you proper brushing techniques for your pet’s coat.
Desensitization/Breed-based & Behavior-based Grooming
Every decision we make is a direct response to how the pet is handling the service. If a dog is having a hard time with anxiety during the groom, we do not force them to withstand haircuts that are out of their comfort range. Sometimes a parent's haircut desires may not be possible if the dog is matted, sensitive, scared, or bites at the tools. We will make every effort to communicate how the pet behaves during the groom and assist in any positive training that can be done at home to aid in desensitization.
